Summary
Hospital pharmacist with seven years of inpatient and ambulatory practice, the last two spent leading clinical-rules and EHR workflow work for a 600-bed system. Looking to move into product management at a clinical-decision-support company, where the calls already made on alert design, prescriber workflow, and rollout sequencing are the job rather than the side of it.
Experience
Senior Clinical Pharmacist · Chair, Pharmacy Informatics Committee
Allegheny Health Network • Pittsburgh, PA
Jun 2023 — Present
- Ran the weekly clinical-rules review with informatics and the CMIO's office; called which alerts to suppress, which to escalate, and shaped the prescriber-facing experience for roughly 80 attending prescribers and 200 residents.
- Led the clinical pharmacy side of three Epic Willow rollouts: vancomycin AUC dosing, antimicrobial stewardship alerts, and a renal-dose-adjustment ruleset across eight hospitals.
- Chaired the pharmacy-informatics committee through its first full year, scoped a backlog of 60+ rule requests from clinicians, prioritized against override and false-positive data, and briefed leadership monthly on what shipped and what held.
- Paired with two analysts and a build engineer to redesign the discharge medication-reconciliation workflow; cut average pharmacist review time from 14 to 9 minutes per patient on the pilot unit.
Clinical Pharmacist, Internal Medicine and Transitions of Care
Allegheny Health Network • Pittsburgh, PA
Aug 2020 — Jun 2023
- Sat with case managers and hospitalists on daily rounds for two medicine teams; the recommendations made on rounds fed directly into the discharge med-rec process later redesigned.
- Built and maintained the formulary review packet for the P&T committee; presented twelve drug monographs and three class reviews over three years.
- Co-led a Cerner-to-Epic conversion workstream for outpatient infusion, scoped the order-set migration with two physicians and an analyst, and finished the cutover on schedule.
